Interview Details – Really easy interview process. Just apply online and they ask you simple personality/situational questions. During the one on one interview they pretty much ask you about your experience and stuff like that.

Interview Details –
This company is very unorganized in their HR department. Upon walking in for the interview, I found out the hr person I was to talk with was going to be meeting with someone else. I heard another interview candidate mention his name. The hr contact told me I was being interviewed for one position, during the interview I found out it was for another position. Not a professional way to do business, especially when I prepared to interview for the other job.
Don't expect to be reimbursed for travel expenses. I drove nearly 300 miles round-trip and was offered nothing. Shopko is a large corporation and should act like one. I was told to check back often with hr to see my status. When I did after a few weeks, it took them more than a week to reply. I didn't feel they valued me, my time or my skill set.

Interview Details – Shopko came to my University Career Fair and we scheduled a first interview on-campus for the following day. This interview was with 2 Shopko employees, 1 was a recruiter and the other was a store manager of a local branch. It went for about 30 minutes with several "get to know you" questions and several "behavioral" type questions. Didn't hear anything for over a month then out of the blue I received an email for an interview in one of the Shopko stores nearby. This was a panel interview with 3 individuals. THe same store manager I met with a month ago, the District manager, and the HR director that was over the region. They made it comfortable for me and asked a bunch of behavioral questions. Waiting to hear back now...

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Union Gap, WA May 2011 – Reviewed Mar 3, 2012
Interview Details – They ask about previous challenges you have overcome as well as how you overcame them. One of the questions asked is "Why do you want to work for Shopko?" It's good to know facts about Shopko and smile as well as answer all the questions competently. The 1st interview was with the store manager and assistant store manager. The 2nd interview was with the store manager from my store and a store manager from another store. The third interview was a phone interview with the District Loss Prevention Manager. In the third interview you are asked how you would rate your temper on a scale of 1-10. 10 being a high temper.

Interview Details –
I was recruited by HR and had several phone interviews before my information could be passed on to the hiring managers. I had interviews with six individuals, was told that everything was looking extremely good and that they were very excited that I was still interested in the position, although it could be a couple weeks until all other interviews were done.
Cue crickets...
A month later I sent a chatty email to the HR person asking for an update.
Cue crickets...
Two weeks later I got a curt reply that I had been told it would take a while.

Two months later position was reposted - I sent an upbeat email that I was still interested.

Interview Details –
First I applied online the same day I got received a call from an hr person. We scheduled a phone interview for later that week ( mostly about my resume). After that the same day I another hr person called me to come schedule an in person interview. She mentioned that they were interviewing about 20 people for this position in person.
At the in person interview there were 6 other candidates that interviewed at the same time. We were each brought to different people in the company at the same time for one on one interviews, this happened three times. We also met the CEO and Chief Merchandiser Officer.
The questions at the in person interview were mostly about why I wanted to get into retail.
The company seems to be heavily female dominated and a lot of graduates from Stout who studied something regarding retail.
Everyone was extremely nice!!
Still waiting to hear back
