The interview in person takes place in SMC headquarters in Munich. It lasts about one hour.
The interview began with questions from my side to him.
Afterwards he proceeded to "About myself" part. One should tell about him/herself in a structured way.
The interviewer was a bit nasty and tried to most difficult questions about team experience etc. "What you've learned from this/that" was a very common question. "About myself" lasted around 35 minutes.
Then was the case study. Attention! The case did not have a solution in my interview! The guy was checking how structured I was in thinking. I did not provide a DETAILED plan from the very beginning and that's why I failed (the interviewer told me during the feedback session).

I had a terrible and bitter experience. Not because of I did not get the offer – which anyway I would have rejected after the face to face interview experience. Please note – I was earlier employed by GS and then quit because I got some other challenging project. Anyway, I had 4 people taking my technical interview over the phone. Then they flew me in for face to face interview which went from 9 am to 6.30 pm. Actually 2 groups took my interview for no apparent good reason(anyway I can only work for 1 group, right?). They took so much extra time and did not give me any lunch break – I believe that is just deliberate because HR sent them the time schedule. Some guy gave me a set of java, sql questions and asked to write all programs etc in bunch of sheet(not in the computer) and then he had to go somewhere and told me someone else will grade them.

Started with interview on campus after career fair with single interviewer. Follow up interview consisted of multiple one on one interview with various program and HR managers followed by a group exercise with all the candidates and presentation on product lifecycle management.

I meet the recruiter at job fair. After reviewing my resume the recruiter asked me if I would like to schedule a follow up interview. After a short 30 minute interview on campus I was invited to interview at their headquarters.

All interviews were personal interviews conducted on the phone and across multiple time zones so it was hard to gage their reactions. No facial expressions or body language to interpret. 4 1:1 interviews covering a variety of related topics with extensive review of my previous experience and positions. In the end they were looking for some experience that I just didn't have.

I was referred by an ex colleague who happened to work on the PSL for Siemens.
The interview consisted of a one hour interview, fairly casual. The questions were extremely vague and the feedback I received was that the interviewer felt I did not know what I wanted to do with my life. Given the vagueness of her questions, I am not surprised....
