Interviewed Aug 2011 in Cincinnati, OH (took 1+ week)
The hiring manager repeatedly made it known that he was too busy to be meeting with me. The sales rep was rude and arrogant.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Beltsville, MD (took a day)
I originally was called by the manager and we set up a phone interview for an internship. I did not receive an offer at that time, but I called back when I was nearing graduation and they had me come in for an interview. I was interviewed by three or four of the engineers working there. I was asked the general questions but the questions that stood out were, "How to find the current flowing through this circuit diagram" and "How would you heat this room? Show me."

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Beltsville, MD (took 2 weeks)
Phone interview followed by an in person interview the week later. Phone interview consisted of questions on engineering experience, ability to use a multimeter, hobbies regarding work around the house/car. In person interview took about 3 hours. Interviewed with about 8 of their employees with each session having 1-3 employees asking questions. Questions consisted of correct multimeter usage, a lot of HVAC and electrical questions, and other basic interview questions (hobbies, strengths/weaknesses, future plans). Let me know week after that they were pursuing other candidates.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Irving, TX (took a day)
I was called by the talant coordinator, then directed that I would be called by the hiring manager which did not happen. Then I was called but the lead person of the department which was not prepared to conduct the interview and I was asked to call back to another number. Once the whole process was over I never heard back for two months if the position was filled or not.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took 4+ weeks)
Went smooth. As for every corporation there is an extensive background check, but overall the interview consisted of them describing job duties and responsibilities. Once they considered you as a good fit for the company it was mainly traveling to different locations to interview. They were very detailed on what they expected.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Buffalo Grove, IL (took a day)
The interview was conducted over the phone as an initial screen by HR for the appropriate candidates. Unfortunately, the job requirements were not clear in the online description. Per the online description, it was a good fit. Based on the job description provided in the phone inreview, it wasn't close.

Interviewed Oct 2008 (took 4+ weeks)
The interview and hiring process in my case was easy do to an employee referral. My advice is to find a way to contact the manager of the department directly. This is a huge organization, and the resumes and applications can sometimes get lost in the crowd. The managers in the Houston office are very accessible, you just need to get an appointment and set yourself apart.
