Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
Initially, you apply online. Their is not a phone interview to follow, just an offer to attend an open interview at your own expense. I went to city of the open interview. I signed in and was assigned a room and was one of approximately 75 people int he room. I estimated between 300 and 350 people were in attendance totalled in all the rooms. Flight attedants gave a brief overview of the company and the requirements of the position. Their was not a power point presentation. We were given a short break. Upon returning we were to give a 60 second speech infront of everyone in the original room, as to why we would be a great flight attendant. Many people went over, way over the 60 seconds. Their was another break during which they cut at least half of the hopefuls. The names of the ones that got to stay were posted on the door outside of original room. From there, we all waited for our turn at a 20 minute 1 on 1 interview. This took many hours. We could leave after it was completed, but did not know if we were selected until about a week after. The interviews consisted of basic stuff as well as a few scenarios " what would you do if..." I was selected as part of the pool waiting for a class sometime in the future.

attended group interview for ramp agent job at SFO after applying online. 50 applicants attended. we were asked to stand in front of the whole room and explain how our past work experience has prepared us for this job. my past experience was 3 years working the same aircrafts INCLUDING skywest planes every day. 10 spots were given to those who told funny stories and cracked the most jokes.. past experience/physical ability/intelligence were all ignored. oh well.

Interviewed Feb 2008 in Salt Lake City, UT (took 2 weeks)
we met in a large room and listened to them give a presentation about their company. Then we had a question and answer period where anyone could ask whatever they wanted. This also broke the ice a bit. Then they took each of us for a 1 on 1 interview. This process was pretty slow as there was only two interviewers for 75 applicants. If we passed the one on one they gave us a packet of information to learn before training.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Denver, CO (took a day)
Some people from HR gave a presentation about Skywest, the benefits, and the ramp agent position. After the presentation they divided the room into groups of six each to interview together. At the interview the HR rep interviewed each person individually in the presence of the other group members with the exact same questions. Unless you are interviewed first in the group you know exactly what questions are going to be asked and should have time to think over your responses. Be sure to RSVP to the interview as some people did not and were turned away. Also be sure to bring a resume and arrive early. Overall, fairly easy interview.
