No Offer – Interviewed in Midlothian, VA Mar 2013 – Reviewed Mar 21, 2013
Interview Details – I met with the recruiting manager for the company and he said he handled most, if not, all of the recruiting for them. Pleasant enough and sounded pretty much as I expected. I am not finished with the interview process but so far, so good. It is not a 'glamorous' product and I have never worked in a show room as a sales pro. After I finish the interview process completely I will write another review for the benefit of other readers.
Interview Question – I really did not experience any really 'difficult' questions, but I suppose the most challenging one would have been: How do you think you will handle working in a show room since you have never done that before? Answer: I've done a number of sales jobs that were totally new to me but I always managed to identify the top producers in their organization and emulate their best practices and that has served me well for many years. I simply would find a way to make my time productive by calling potential clients while on duty so as to keep myself productive while there. Otherwise, I can't see myself sitting around and waiting for the wall paper to come off the walls! Answer Question

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Dec 2009 – Reviewed Jul 1, 2011
Interview Details – Had a first interview with a lady from human resources who went over my application with a fine tooth comb. Be ready to explain any gaps in employment. Had a second interview with two regional managers in a showroom and was hired on the spot. Training was four weeks in the warehouse complete with a mock showroom. We did a lot of unrealistic role playing. On the last day we took a test and were placed in showrooms. During four week training we worked saturdays in a real showroom to observe and help the mattress professionals.

Interview Details –
After a brief conversation on the phone that consisted of several scripted questions that are not rocket science to answer (but are asked to EVERY person they phone interview - I later found out). The recruiter that interviewed me came in and basically had a 3 minute conversation with me about nothing too relevant to the position. It was more about telling me about the job, she must have decided she approved.
I met with her supervisor and the director and was offered the position on the spot that day.
Interview Question – Are you able to work 9-6 everyday? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Fresh out of college, I accepted the first offer I got!
