Interviewed Feb 2012 in Gaithersburg, MD (took 2 weeks)
First and foremost, the two initial phone interviews went well and was also informative. However, the first onsite interview should have been conducted as a one-on-one session at first so both parties can really get a good feel and full understanding of the candidate and management in a more relaxed environment.
Afterwards, if there is a good fit and the company would like to bring you back for a second round, conduct the next meeting in the same manner or with possibly two other individuals at the most.
Instead, for my very first interview I met with a VP, three managers, and one administrator in the conference room all at once. In saying that, I want to share and recommend a course of action to the Sodexo hiring manager and team.
I'm sure their intentions were to make the interview as comfortable as possible. However, having a group of five individuals starring at you all at once can be a bit of an overkill and overwhelming for anyone, which can lead to an uncomfortable and uneasy experience for the candidate.
I have never in my professional career even as a hiring manager gone through anything like that, and would not recommend that approach during the hiring process. The setting is a bit too much and intimidating even for the seasoned interviewee, which I was not. Unfortunately, this is how I felt during the first onsite interview today.
The reason why I say this is because an employer can really miss out on hiring an effective, experienced and reliable employee. Just my thoughts.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test and a Skills Test.

Interviewed Feb 2008 in Cherry Hill, NJ (took 3 weeks)
Interview was done over the phone; was pretty brief and informative. I had already been to this location a few times, so I knew a lot about the place and people there.

Reason for Declining
It was just a lateral move, so no incentive to leave my old position. I was looking for a pay increase, which they didn't offer.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Washington, DC (took a day)
I obtained the interview through a personal contact. Everything went well during the interview. The big barrier here was that although I have plenty of sustainability experience I had no specific experience with the food services industry. I heard back by e-mail that I had not received the position. It was a good experience even though I did not get the job.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took 3 days)
My interview process was not what I expected it to be. I had to answer a few simple questions about myself and my background, as well as go over my resume. I did not receive any in-depth questions. I believe they were just making sure my communication skills were on point.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 1 week)
Was asked specific question about the position. Many started with "Describe a time....." putting yourself in certain situations related to the job. I was tested on my knowledge of safety guidelines. I did very well in the interview, I was even asked if I was available to fly out for a 1:1 interview/tour of the facility. I was given specifics about the relocation package offered and salary discusion was initiated by my interviewer. At the end of the call I was confident of a job offer. A week later I was notified that an internal candidate was promoted and that the position was no longer available. I was thanked for my time and that I had all the qualifications of the position, but an internal candidate is almost always chosen if qualified. I was also told that my file would be passed on to other areas, as I did well in all aspects of the process. I was in fact contacted again by the recruiter and I am currently in the process of setting up interviews for other positions at other locations within the company.

Interviewed Feb 2007 (took 5 days)
Was contacted by recruiter and who then forwarded my profile to the company managers. Attended technical interview over the phone. There seemed to be at least three people over the phone doing the interview. The interviewers were nice and polite. When the answer did not match, they explained their point of view.
