I said that I would leave the strong sales staff/s to their own style and if it was a problem like stealing my sales or being unfair I would talk to the strong sales person or if it was serious or ongoing I would ask management to intervene. Personally my style is to sit towards the back of the store, allowing to customers not to be intimidated to enter and browse, but then relatively quickly approach the customer and ask if I can be of assistance.

Interview Question for Sales Assistant at Telstra:

Some of the sales staff that work in our store, (one in particular) is very sales hungry. He stands at the door and watches like a hawk for customers, and pounces on them as soon as they go to enter the store. How would you go with dealing with such a strong personality and what is your style?
