Interviewed Nov 2010 (took a day)
I applied online and a woman from HR called me the next day. She asked me which departments I would be interested in and why I wanted to work at Sony / in the music business. Then she asked what day I could come in for an in person interview. After scheduling an interview, I first met with the intern coordinator and then an employee in one of the departments that I was interested in.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 months)
Interviewed with 6 people. I was offered the job and accepted; however, I subsequently left the organization two months later because I (and my team) were treated very poorly by the department leader. If you are asked to do a "writing test," don't. Look for other opportunities.

Negotiation Details
I was not able to negotiate. They offered me a salary (which, at the time I thought was low given the level of the role/title). I then realized I was in fact overpaid for the work I was doing (mostly busy work). Sony is competitive in pay, just make sure you are accepting a role into a department with a leader who will treat you fairly and respectfully.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Apr 2008 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
I applied for the position through my university's job network. I was contacted through email initially, and we setup a phone interview for the next week. The interview was very straightforward and did not last that long...only about 20-25 minutes. I was asked several standard interview questions: Tell me about yourself, strengths/weaknesses, why I have a passion for the industry, talked about the experience I had at my past internships, etc. I was then emailed back about 2 weeks later informing me that I was selected for the position. I later learned that she had interviewed close to 10 other students from my school, and that she selected me because she could tell I had the most genuine passion and interest to work in the music industry.

Interviewed Sep 2007 (took a day)
Interview process was pretty straightforward considering it was an internship position. The HR manager was fair in his questions, but the hiring manager was a bit hard to read. Office environment seemed a bit stressed and tense at times, but very focused.

Interviewed Mar 2008 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
Sony is incredibly thorough with their candidate searches. I underwent a series of telephone interviews with HR, a 1:1 interview with HR, and interviewed with my prospective boss and other colleague whom I'd also be assisting in person. I was asked a series of hypotheticals: how would you handle this scenario, what would your former employer say your strengths are, etc. I was on the premises for approximately three hours, which I believe to be a bit longer than most, but I didn't mind it. The environment was very relaxed, but professional at the same time. Be sure to keep your resume to one page and bring additional copies with you.
Negotiation Details
Given the type of entry level nature of the position, negotiation wasn't really possible, but I believed the offer to be fair.
Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Presentation and a Background Check.
