Sony PlayStation Finance/Accounting Interview

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Foster City, CA (took 4 weeks)

The actual phone interview went very well although the recruiter did call 30min before the scheduled time.
I was scheduled to meet with the Manager and supervisor upon my visit however as it turned out, the manager did not come in to work that day but i was not notified of this until i showed up. I was able to meet with the supervisor as intended but she evidently had very little experience interviewing. She attempted to do a conference call with the absent manager but there was no answer after 2 attempts at which point she seemed nervous and out of place. She continued to conduct the interview herself by simply asking only a few basic interview questions pertaining to my experience. The Q&A lasted maybe 10min before she went to go see if the Director was available to meet with me. I was not given any insight on the job not was I given the opportunity to ask her any questions to the point that I had to "force" my questions upon her as I was escorted to the Director office. The Director asked me a series of loose ended questions but seemed like he just wanted to get back to work. Like the Supe, he didn't give me the opportunity to ask any questions or any insight on the job details before the brief interview was done andI was escorted out without as much a "thank you for coming" or "nice to meet you" from the Supervisor....or even an apology on behalf of the manager for not showing up.

All in all, I felt like I was jipped as my chances at getting the position was diminished since the one person to make the hiring decision was absent yet I was not given the opportunity to reschedule for a better time so essentially, it was a waste of my time as I had to take time off my current job and go all the way to foster city all to have a half @ssed interview.
