Interviewed Oct 2011 in Tustin, CA (took 2 weeks)
My initial communication with Souplantation was during my university's job fair. I attended the job fair and visited their booth. If you think you might meet them this way, try hard to impress those there. The person I spoke with was the district manager and he is the one the passed along my resume to a general manager in the area. When the District Manager and I spoke, we got along very well. I became highly impressed with the company's high retention rate. The DM was impressed with me that he counted the "job fair" as the "first interview." I got a call a week later from the GM and we set up a 1:1 interview. Therefore, my "second" interview was with the GM.

Negotiation Details
Since we are still in a recession, there is very limited negotiation. The salary is predetermined based mainly on the position and not the candidate. The MIT program is designed for recent graduates, therefore, higher compensation based on many years of experience is unlikely.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.
