Interviewed May 2012 in Tulsa, OK (took 3 weeks)
Overall positive and right attitudes. Took 3-4 weeks and its a step by step process. They have open door policy which I mean from the terminal manager to driver, are all on same page. Very flexible, but its not a place for slacker. The safety is their main priority and goal, which is very impressive.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Portsmouth, VA (took 3 weeks)
First off, what a waste of my personal time. I interviewed with the Service Center Manager(the boss) on TWO SEPARATE occasions. The first time, he was looking for a driver back in August 2011. I went in for an interview, he seemed interested, told me that he would send off my background and get back with me. 3 weeks later, I still had heard nothing from him. I even checked with the background company and they informed me that a check had been completed. I eventually made contact with the manager and he said that he would not be hiring anyone at that time due to a "dip in numbers". I later found out through another driver that the manager hired someone else. Why not just be honest with me and tell me you don't want to hire me???
Occasion # 2: The manger CALLS ME in December 2011. He states he would like to interview me again for a driver position. So like a dummy, I go in anyway. We talked, I answered questions about certain job related situations and again, he told me he was interested. He said " I will run your background again and go from there." Nothing in my background had changed from the previous check. A week goes by and I'm looking through the classifieds and I see a brand new listing for a P&D driver at the same location I just interviewed at. Obviously, I'm thinking WTF?? Never got a call from the manager to at least say he was looking for another candidate. One of the SENIOR drivers at the terminal even gave a referral to the manager on my behalf. I have recently spoken to another driver and as I figured, the boss hired someone else. In the truck driving industry, when a company runs your background, 9.9 times out of 10 they want to hire you. This guy clearly was playing with my emotions. Don't get me wrong, it's a great company I've heard; but don't play with someone's emotions at all, not to mention twice. I will not be applying nor answering any phone calls from him again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I have no idea what kind of applicant this guy is looking for. If someone with my experience and references does not make his cut, who does?? I refuse to beg anyone for a job.
