Interviewed Jun 2010 in Dallas, TX (took 2 days)
I first got a call from one of the HR representatives,(FYI: you do not get an email warning of the phone interview), asking basic questions, why pick major? why southwest? why did I apply to the position? What courses have I taken, which did I like and why? What were my future plans for employment and what did I see myself doing in the future?, etc. HR rep was very friendly and outgoing. Got offered 1:1 interview in Dallas, I leave tomorrow, will post after.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Dallas, TX (took 2 months)
Once you pass the phone interview you are brought in for a panel interview. They make cuts after the panel interview and then the final interview is with people from the department, and they describe their current jobs to you and you can ask them questions. Then there is a 1 on 1 interview with upper management, which is fairly short and painless. The longest portion is the first group discussion. It is very laid back and easy going, everyone is friendly and encouraging.

Interviewed Jun 2007 in Dallas, TX (took 2 days)
I applied online by submitting my resume. I was notified via email to come to an informational interview which lasted the better part of one day. At the end of that time, I was asked to schedule a 1:1 interview. Several weeks later, I had my one on one interview which consisted of interviewing w/ two people individually. Within 24 hours, I was emailed an acceptance letter with details of training to follow.
The process from beginning to end was extremely efficient and thorough. SW has a very, very impressive Headquarters facility which I loved from the moment I walked through the door. Their legendary culture and atmosphere is EVERYWHERE and the feeling of being part of a family is real and sincere.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Dallas, TX (took 3 weeks)
I first received an offer for a phone interview, and spoke with someone in HR for about 30 minutes. After that, I was flown to their headquarters for a final round interview with the same HR recruiter along with someone from the department in which I was applying. Within a week, I received a phone call with an offer, which I happily accepted. My interview was what drew me into the company, getting to see how fun the culture was from the second I stepped foot in the door. Everyone was overly friendly, and the popcorn machine and free peanuts didn't hurt.
