I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Spectrum Brands.
Interview Details – It was the old Applica management that hired me. Essentially an entire day of interviews back to back with minimal breaks or lunch time. The interviews were hard, tough questions, and you can tell all the interviewer's disliked the company. They were very open about, "You're probably going to hate it here".
Interview Question – Honestly, it was hundreds of questions. They were all tough, but the hardest was when the Sr. Director asked me to fix their current Walmart business development plan in 2 sentences or less. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation on the pay. I negotiated an extra week of vacation, that's about it.
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Spectrum Brands in April 2013.
Interview Details – Applied online. Was contacted a few weeks to a month later to schedule a phone interview with a recruiter. The company outsources its recruitment to a third party company (Decision Toolbox). Was then contacted for the phone interview. It was a standard phone interview - walk through resume, focus on employment gaps (reasons for leaving all prior jobs), and salary history. The division that I applied to is in transition so was warned that the position might be cancelled or the job description might change or evolve. The recruiter was fairly nice and empathetic but never heard back after initial call

I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at Spectrum Brands in December 2011.
Interview Details – I arrived for my second (in person) interview a few minutes early and was met after the meeting time to begin. I was brought to a conference room, where I went through three person to person interviews. One interviewer asked if I got the schedule of interviews - I hadn't, but they told me I had 2 more after them. When I finished the third interview, I waited. And waited, and waited, and waited. After forty minutes in the conference room, I tried to get someone's attention to see what was going on. I could not find anyone, so I left. I sent a note to apologize for not meeting everyone, but I waited forty minutes and no one showed up. This is when the company informed that I didn't meet the requirements and would no be considered any longer.
