Interviewed Oct 2011 in Hamilton, OH (took a day)
Don't apply if you have a lot going on. I applied online and got called to come in for an interview. The interviewer was very pleased with my work experience and ethic, but didn't like that I was looking for this to be a second job and not quitting the job I held at the time. She said she would only hire me if I were willing to quit.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 1+ week)
Filled out an application online and attached my resume. Most applications do not provide adequate space to detail past achievements and a resume can help to fill in the gaps and provide details regarding strengths that might be applicable to the postition being applied for. Was called for an interview and because I was employed with another company at the time, ensured that it was not scheduled at a time which conflicted with my current schedule employers like to see loyalty in a potential employee and blowing off another job is a definate no-no!). I made sure that I was very 'real' to my interviewer and tryed to laugh and joke appropriately so that my personality would show through. I was awarded the job even before we went over all of my qualifications!

Negotiation Details
Able to negotiate salary. Made it a point to detail my experience in the various aspects of the field, and revealed past salary history. Most employers will want to come close to recent salaries to ensure potential staff will be satisfied.

They take you in and drill you on customer service and your background. They want you to know your resume inside and out. Having a former background in retail and a friendly attitude will get you a long ways.
