Interviewed Apr 2010 (took a day)
Recieved a call about a week after submitting my online application. Intereview was easy, went over my past work experiences. You will be asked about your conflict management skills. Be prepared for it. Overall the interview process was very easy. If you get a call, it seems that they are ready to offer you a job.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 2 days)
It was not a long interview. No personality test. They had me fill out a skill quiestionaire online. I thought it was not as painful as other interviews I have had.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Tacoma, WA (took a day)
Applied online at www.sportsauthority.com, received a call back the next day to come in for an interview. Went to the interview in slacks and button shirt with a sweater. Even though its only a part time retail job, its still a job and you want to be presentable, after all, first impressions are important. The interview lasted about 30-45 minutes. Talked about my goals, career path, and eventually led onto what my skills were and where I would think I would fit in at the store (which department). Overall, one of the easiest interviews I have been to, I was offered a job the next day.

Interviewed May 2009 in Englewood, CO (took 1 week)
Flew in from out of state to interview on a new project, so I felt pretty confident they were excited about my skills. But as I began the interview process, it became very apparent that they did not yet have an idea of what they wanted to do or where they wanted to go. Interviewers did not seem very prepared to question me about my skillset. It unfortunately seemed to be a complete waste of time.

Interviewed Aug 2007 (took a day)
This interview was a cake walk. I basically just walked in the store, and asked if they were hiring. The manager came down, met with me, took me to his office, and we had a casual 20 minute conversation. He offered me the job on the spot.

Interviewed Feb 2009 in East Palo Alto, CA (took 2 weeks)
generel interview. I was internal so it more of a checklist. Bottom line, was I got the ball rolling by sending out a few emails to my HR contact and the DM. I was careful not to use the internal company email for everyone to see. I made a point of improving dept impact before making the approach. I also realized that I was the one who made my plight known to begin with. My Gm and CO and no input until mid way. Even while I was trying to get my foot in the door of a promotion the CO (even with his stamp of approval) was attempting to get an old co-workier into the company. The company is all about office politics and some merit.
