Interviewed Jan 2012 in Milwaukee, WI (took 2 days)
Filled out the lengthy application online after seeing job posting on monster.com, was called 3 days later to come in for an interview. Met with another ASM from Bluemound store, had a really great interview felt really confident about the whole situation. Received a call the next day from the same ASM telling me he really liked me, felt I was a good fit but required me to drive out to Greenfield for a job fair at that Sprint location and informed me he would be emailing that manager telling him about me....thats when it got ugly, got there right at 10, let the manager (or whoever it was) know that I was sent by the other ASM gave my credentials, they left me sitting there for an hour until they came back out telling me they were confused as to why I was interviewed because they have zero openings for another ASM but they were hiring for sales consultants...asked me to sit in the back and re take the tests...I left, the management was rude, communication was all over the place and I am still seeing job postings for ASM...so why am I the crazy one? Decided even if they were to call me back I'd decline, the way management treated me in Greenfield was ridiculous and they need to get their s**t together.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Riverside, CA (took 1 week)
Applied online, one of the longest applications I've ever had to do. Including the usual personality tests, and twice entering my work history. Week later got called for an interview. Was asked a few questions by two upper-level employees, a sales rep and lead tech consultant. They seemed like they didn't much care for having to do it, and got through the questions quickly. So I drilled them with my own questions about how the job was, what they liked about working there and so on. I asked more questions than they did. They told me there would be a second interview with the store manager. It's been two weeks and I've heard nothing, So I'm assume its lost, and by the experience and what I learned from them, I'm not too thrilled to check back. I've since applied to a different store, one closer to where I live and is a full-time position (luckily, I didn't have to re-do the application, it just sailed through). Hopefully that one goes better.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 1 week)
I was contacted about a first round of interviews in which a panel of 3 store managers interviewed me in the back of a store. The panel asked questions about strengths/weaknesses, relevant experience, and situational questions.
The next day I was contacted by the panel to set up a phone interview with the district manager who was hiring for that location. This interview was scheduled for the following morning.
On the DM interview I was asked similar questions and told the selection was down to myself and one other candidate. I was told the decision would be made by the following Monday, which it was.

Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 3 weeks)
I applied online around the 18th of December of 2011 and was e-mailed the next day to fill a more comprehensive online application. A day after that I got a call from the HR manager to interview at the store I applied to. The interview went VERY well. It went well for two reasons.
1. I was well prepared and answered all their questions adequetly.
2. Both interviewers were female and I was very comfertable. They were very easy going.
Just FYI, I worked for AT&T fresh out of high school and for T-Mobile at 21. I am now 22. However, this is NOT to say that you can't get THIS job without any sales experience. When I got the job at AT&T I had only one job on my resume and it was KFC! The factor that confirmed my employment with AT&T was the way I spoke at the interview and the way I presented myself.
After the interview the people who interviewed me called a manager at another store, one who was looking for an employee, and told him about my interview. They told the manager that they were very impressed with my interview. The manager then called me to schedule an interview. When he called me he almost gave me the job on the spot and said that he just wanted to meet me. So I went and he gave me the forms for the background check and for the drug test. I took them the next day and he called me like 4 days later to tell me that I have the job if I wanted it and that HR will send him the offer letter by that weekend which is this Saturday.
I start this weekend.
You don't really need to research their company because they train you for that I would say that you need to work on your interview skills and sounds smart. This is easy because most of the store managers are not really educated and any type of intellectual sentence with the right wording will do - even small observations. For example, they asked something about how I would treat customers and I said, "while waiting outside before this interview I noticed that one of the monitors (the ones that play ads) said that if customers had any questions to contact "YOUR" customer representative. It said "YOUR" and not "A" because the activation is a little more personal and you want them to reccomend you to other people. You need to say things like that so they know that you pay attention to detail.

I am still waiting to be able to do that. The manager told me that I would be payed around $11-$12. I hoping to get anywhere from $11,50 to $14.00.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Sanford, FL (took 5 days)
After I applied online to a store about 30 miles from me, I received an email a few days later asking me to fill out a more detailed application. After filling that out, I was contacted by a store just a few minutes from me. They asked if I could come in the next day for an interview, and I said sure. The interview took about 30 minutes, involving primarily STAR format questions, and questions about my background and sales experience. It was the store manager, and assistant store manager interviewing me. They gave me the paperwork for a drug test, and I took that the next day.
2-3 days after the drug test, I received a call offering me the job. Was a very quick process!
One thing I learned, Sprint stores never hire full time, only part time with the possibility to advance to FT.

Interviewed Apr 2009 (took 2 weeks)
The interview is pretty normal. You get contacted by phone for a time and date you can meet for an interview. You then sit with one of the managers for a one on one interview. I, personally, did not have a phone interview. I only had one interview before they called me in for drug testing and an offer letter. One thing to note, you won't even be considered a candidate for interview if you don't pass your assessment during the application process. The interview questions are typical situation and behavior questions. "Tell me a time you ..." or "How would you handle this type of customer if ..." and so forth. My interview was very relaxed and nothing out of the ordinary. Received a call about a week later with an offer and was hired a week after. Quick process. I was fortunate to work with a great group of people, many who are still today great friends. I cannot speak for all stores, but the culture at my store wasn't as positive as I liked it to be. Keep in mind this can be a fast paced environment and you must have thick skin, because you will be dealing with all types of personalities and customers may take out anger on you for billing issues and phone problems. If you find it hard to turn the cheek and just go with the flow, then this job isn't for you, nor is any job involving customer retail and service. I had my fair share of rude customers, but then you have the good ones that stay loyal to you and refer business your direction.

Negotiation Details
Was not able to negotiate the offer. I don't know how the offers are made now, but I did come to find out I was offered less than other representatives who had the same rate from their hire on. Other reps after me were offered less than me. It seems the company is cutting away as much as possible to save money and sadly, it comes at the expense of low balling reps who have good experience.
Other Details
I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a Skills Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.
