Very Easy Interview
I applied in-person and the process took 5+ weeks - interviewed at Sprint Nextel in March 2013.
Interview Details – I had to literally hound them until they got back to me with an interview request. The interview lasted about ten minutes, where I was asked about my experience, but there were no testing questions.
I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Sprint Nextel in August 2012.
Interview Details – three rounds of interviews. first with the hiring manager, then with a panel of your peers then with the director of the retail area. the first interview took over 3 hours. they are very thorough. come ready to tell your life story. the panel interview was much easier, but was very past paced and rapid fire questions from 3 different people. they were very well prepared and followed up on answers that were not clear to them.
Interview Question – the questions were very straight forward. some of them required multiple answers and i was not permitted to go to the next question without fully answering the question i was asked. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – 3 rounds of negotiation. average difficulty
I applied online and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Sprint Nextel in July 2012.
Interview Details –
Applied online for a location located in another state. A Retail Store Manager (RSM) emailed and asked about my situation because I was not located in the state. After some emails we decided to do a phone interview.
Very accommodating with the time and date for interview. It was 2:1 interview but the other Store Manager was just taking notes and did not comment very much. Asked 10 questions and it took about a hour to finish the interview.
Was informed that only 2 people would be forwarded to the District Manager, I was picked. District Manager Interview was a 1:1 and took about another hour. Was done over the phone and again accommodating for my request to do over the phone and flexible, to an extent on the times we could talk.
Overall very professional and accommodating seeing how I was 2,000 miles away and 3 different time zones.
Interview Question – Explain a time a new technology was introduced into your organization which you thought would initially have a negative impact but later turned out to have a positive impact. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – The difference between time zones made it difficult at times to coordinate interview times and probably extended the interview length by 1-2 weeks.
