I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Square Enix (El Segundo, CA)
Interview
The entire process was very straightforward. The actual interview was very pleasant. I think it would be hard for anyone to feel uncomfortable. There were no super hard questions, as long as you do your research beforehand.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Square Enix (London, England) in Oct 2021
Interview
Quite a short interview process, There were only 2 Stages: 1. Informal chat with Hiring Manager + Director 2. Technical Test related to the day-day role Both roughly about 1 hour each. The informal chat is just getting to know you, your ideals and why you want to join. 2nd interview was to see how well you'd do and if you'd hit the ground running when hired.
I applied online. I interviewed at Square Enix (El Segundo, CA) in Feb 2020
Interview
Applied in October, interviewed at the El Segundo office in February (barely before COVID-19 hit). Position is on a project-by-project basis. Passing a separate in-office grammar test is required before being selected for an interview. I interviewed with a senior QA tester and 2 others on the QA team. Questions were all in line with what I expected for a QA position, but with a focus on localization.

Interview
Worst interview process I've ever expercienced. I applied by mail, then phone interview, then a little test.
HR team needs to be more professionnal. Treat candidates with respect it's important.
