    Interview

    I had to submit my CV, transcripts and motivation online for the internship. After that I was invited to complete a psychometric test online. A few days after they sent me an e-mail saying that I had been selected for a face-to-face interview. The interview entailed a panel of two people each. I was to be interviewed 3 times. The interviews were happening across the CIB's 3 business units and I was to get a feel for them by being interviewed across the different products they offer. They asked me personality, behavioural and fit type questions. I was also asked about teamwork and my ability to work in a team. All in all the staff were very helpful and friendly - I found this refreshing and it helped me settle in quite nicely as I was a bit nervous.

    The interview was set up through a recruitment agency. Panel interview , nice small office, i was probably underdressed for the environment. Not so many questions but as to test your logical skill and how you come about a certain conclusion.

    Went through a recruitment agency, which found the job for me Had 2 step interview with middle and upper management. Management had some technical knowledge No technical tests were done, just some random technical questions done verbally Waited a while for between the two interviews

    Interview

    I applied online and was invited to a first round interview. I was interviewed twice on the day for two divisions in the bank and was asked typical behavioural type questions and questions around where I see myself in the bank. I got through to the second round which consisted of a psychometric test and an assessment centre. Candidates were emailed a case 3 days before the assessment centre and had to prepare a presentation. I presented the case and was asked questions relating to it and more behavioural questions. The assessment centre interviews were difficult because I had limited knowledge of accounting and finance. (I majored in economics and politics).

    I had worked for a similar team in Standard Bank previously and I knew the people in this interview. Was a very casual and relaxed conversation. Lasted about an hour. Not too intense and technical. I guess perhaps it was because they knew me and my credentials. Was made an offer about a week after the interview
