Interviewed Nov 2011 in Beijing, Beijing (China) (took 2+ weeks)
First applied online through their website. Had to complete a series of online assessments, the first one was the Numerical, then the Logical, and lastly, the Role assessment. The Numerical was mostly analyzing charts and graphs and all questions were multiple choice. Using a calculator can be helpful. The Logical assessment was a very common logical sequence assessment, it gives you some figures, and you have to choose the correct figure to complete the sequence. The Role assessment was the longest of the three and it took me more than an hour to complete. It was just a series of questions testing your personality mostly. After you pass all three, your results will be reviewed and SC will invite you to a phone interview...still waiting for the phone interview right now...

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 2 weeks)
First of all, the candidates must pass the online tests which consisted of personality checking and reasoning test. After that they were asked to answer 3 essays regarding the current SCB situations and themselves.
Within 1 week, I got a phone call from HR at HK office scheduling for the phone interview appointment in the subsequent week. However I was dropped at this stage.
This phone call interview was about basic knowledge about the bank, why I applied to this position, followed by behavioural based questions which I needed to give them the example of what I did as per each question. I was not good because I had not prepared for this kind of question so I could not recall clearly and relevantly the experience I have regarding the question.

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
it was a 2:1 behavioral interview about your experiences and backgrounds.
basically, a good-cop-bad-cop type of interview.
the guy who was playing the bad-cop role was pretty good at what he was doing.
he seemed quite condescending and didn't show much respect for the candidate.

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
I had a one to one interview for forty minutes. The interviewer was busy, so I waited for fifteen minutes in one of their rooms. They asked a lot of fit questions, i.e.
1. Describe a situation in which you had a team member that was uncooperative.
2. Tell me about your greatest achievement in the last 12 months.
3. What did you do when you encountered a problem? Describe the problem and tell me how you resolved it.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
They asked simple C++ questions, which i felt so happy to answer. But, after each answer, they use to ask some in depth concept related to answer. In which i felt they might have rejected me.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Singapore (Singapore) (took 6 days)
Headhunted by former colleague; went through 360deg interviews starting with potential staff, then peers, then management. Interviews consisted of personal history, work experience, then a case study (strategy role). Case studies increased in complexity with seniority of interviewer, as well as increased focus on personal motivations for applying. Strong emphasis on culture fit. Company culture tends to be risk averse and very conservative.
