Interviewed Nov 2011 in Roswell, GA (took 2 weeks)
Was contacted by HR from the store to gage interest in the job and to set up a first interview, first interview was administered a week later where work experience was discussed, a second interview was set up between the Easy Tech manager as well as the Store Manager where basic tech questions were asked, was then told to wait for further review and was told of the job offer if I passed the background check, about 10 days later I was called in for training.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took a day)
I received a voice mail scheduling an interview. I had only one interview with the store manager. I listened to information about the company and the store. The only questions I was asked were "Why did you apply at Staples?" and "How would you handle an angry customer?" No drug test was administered.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Leamington, ON (Canada) (took a day)
Applied in-person at the store and was immediately called to set up an interview. I was nervous when I got there, and I think the Interviewer could tell and really that was my major downfall. He asked me a lot of questions regarding how i would act in certain situations and basically just tried to get to know me as a potential employee. Got a call back a few weeks later saying that they were not going to continue with my application at this time. My sister applied and made it through three separate interviews before being declined as well.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Homestead, FL (took 1 week)
I had a one on one interview with the hiring manager. Very casual and light. "Do you have transportation to and from work?" "Why did you leave your last job?" stuff like that. After, I was told to wait about a week to hear back, and in about a weeks time, I was called back to begin training.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Phoenix, AZ (took a day)
Came in early, waited for the assistant manager to get my paper and sat down in the office section. Asked me situation questions. Lasted about 20 minutes. Told me to follow up in a few days. I called and said they were still interviewing and would let me know at the end of the week. Still haven't heard anything. All in all it was okay. It's easier if you're good at answering situational questions.

The process was quick. Got an interview within 5 day of applying. Interview was easy. Interviewer was nice. Although she made it seem like I did a good job I was not offer the job. She said she would put in a good word with other staples but I never heard from her again or other staples.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in New York, NY (took a day)
It wasn't hard at all. I just applied online at staples.com and then wait for their call..it took probably a week or two for them to call me...but it wasn't at the store that I applied,it was at a different store, where I am at now. They just asked me if I've dealt with angry customers before and what I did in those situations, about my past jobs, and my scheduling.

didn't really have any negotiations other than not working sundays because of church. I would say to not really ask too much because they don't have to hire you.
