Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Sacramento, CA Jun 2011 – Reviewed Dec 3, 2012
Interview Details –
I was originally hired as an in-store technician. There were only 2 interviews I had to go through. The first was with the sales manager, who took me back to the furniture pad, and we had a far more casual interview than I expected. She asked a lot of the common questions, like previous employment, values, etc... During this interview, she called over one of the techs at the time, and he asked me a few technical questions, which were very easy to answer.
The next interview was with the General Manager, and this one was a little more formal. We spoke in her office, and I was mainly asked questions about different scenarios. After that, we just talked about the job's expectations, and she quizzed me a little on customer service.
I heard back from them about a week later, in the afternoon, and they just said, "We would like you, you're hired."
The only test I had to take was after being hired.
Interview Question – There weren't many difficult questions. The only one that I had a little trouble with was explaining to the General Manager the different service plans and services that the company offers. The Sales Manager had given me some pamphlets to study, so I was somewhat prepared for it. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I was able to negotiate a 50 cent increase in starting pay.
Other Details - I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks.
