Interviewed Sep 2011 in Shawnee Mission, KS (took 2 days)
I applied to many starbucks locations near my home the first week of sep. I have applied at Starbucks before and have never gotten a call. On sep 19th I received a phone call from the starbuck down the street from my house to come in for an interview on the 20th. I went to the interview on the 20th, and when i walked in I introduced myself and they immediately offered my a beverage. I declined, and waited for my interview to begin. The interview was VERY laid back. The store manager is very nice and funny. She asked me alot of the basic customer questions, and why I choose starbucks. Than we talked about a few of my past and current employers. The inteview lasted about 30mins. and she told me that she had a few more interviews to do and if i'm selected she will call me with the next 2-3 days. so on the second day she called me early in the morning and made an offer to me.

Negotiation Details
It was a flat rate of 7.50 per hour, however you receive tips too. The manager told me that the tips go into a pool and on mondays they count the totals ( weekly tip totals averages $100-150 at the store i'm working at) and than they times it by the number of hours you work. I'm Full Time status so i should bring in 40-50 in tips a week.

The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.
