Interviewed Mar 2012 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 months)
Got a call after applying two months ago, initial interview over the phone was about expectations and fit for the job.
Arranged for an interview a week later and had a short interview with the Talent Acquisition Specialist that was on the phone before, she was pleasant to deal with and gave hints and tips on next stage of interview. This part of the interview consisted of behavioral questions.
Next interview was 30+ minutes with two managers, one of them was receptive and engaging while the other was neutral but fair. Interview consisted of mostly behavioral questions and some technical questions. In hindsight the questions were not tough at all but I was just simply not prepared to go into such depths with my solutions. I was also expecting to be asked technical questions about NAV's and such, but was asked simple credit/debit questions instead.

Interviewed May 2008 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2+ weeks)
Received a call from HR and was called in for an interview. Interviewed with two managers from the Derivatives group. Afterwards met with the actual hiring manager for the group. Thought the workplace was laid back.

Interviewed Dec 2008 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
I received a called within a few days of applying. The initial called from HR was to ensure the candidate understood the compensation salary at state street. State street is notorious for offering low starting salaries to new college and university graduates. After discussing my salary expectations, we we set an interview for the following week.
The hiring process is in two phases:
1) You initially meet with HR who will ask you a number of cookie cutter questions
2) You meet with your prospective manager and questions are also not that challenging strengths, weakness etc etc
