Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 1 week)
The first part of the hiring process was a phone interview with one of the Global Human Resource employees. They asked about your interest in State Street, your background and so forth. A few days after you are granted a 1:1 interview. It was with two managers in the area and they questioned you on certain situational experiences. A few days after that I was extended a job offer.
Negotiation Details

Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 1 week)
Interview consisted of standard questions about background, relevant experience, and personal strengths and weaknesses. Details about the program, salary, location and duration were also provided. Interviewer actually called half an hour earlier than scheduled time for phone interview and that caught me off guard.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Sacramento, CA (took 2 months)
The interview process was pretty simple. Had a 30 min phone interview, discussed my education and experience, then was asked about 3-4 behavioural questions. Did 2 in-person interviews. The first was with a manager for about 40 min, asked a couple technical questions like what is NAV, and what is the difference between a stock and bond, then a few behavioural questions. 2nd interview was with two senior fund accountants, and they pretty much asked the same questions. They called me 2 weeks later to offer the job but I declined.

The panel interview was a bit misleading because there was 2 set of 1 on 1 interviews. However we have 10+ people waiting together. Standard behavioral questions and a bit technical questions.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took a day)
A simple phone call to state why you want to work there followed by an in person interview with your future managers. I believe it was all behavior based. No hard basically they hire anyone just be sure you don't give them a reason not to.

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
First round phone interview with HR. 2nd round interview in their Boston offices a week later. Total of 4 interviewers. All pretty much behavioral but a few questions on my technical background and client facing experience. Office culture seemed very formal.
