Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I applied online as well as delivered my resume to the General Manager. First interview was with the GM. It lasted about 1 1/2 hours. GM immediately set me up for a second interview with the District Manager the following week. It was about the same amount of time. He stated a answer would be to me by the beginning of the following week. At the end of the following week I heard back from them and was offered a job.

Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate because I really needed a job at that time. I should have tried to negotiate a little.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 1 week)
After applying online I took the initiative to contact the interviewing manager. Everyone who applies on line realizes how difficult it can be to be recognized. After contacting the interviewing manager , we set up a time and location to meet. I spent approximately 1 1/2 hrs in the interview answering various questions. I left feeling very confident about the interview and was told the district manager would be contacting me within the next 10 days for a 2nd interview. I followed up 3 times with the manager I interviewed with only to be told on the 3rd follow up that the position had been filled. I asked why I didn't qualify for a 2nd interview and was told the district manager decided to promote within the company. It's great to promote within, but at least have respect for the candidates you have interviewed and give them a call or send a letter/email to let them know the company has made a decisionI found this to be slightly rude since I was told I would recieve a follow up phone call. They just left me hanging.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 5 days)
I applied through their website and a member of HR called me the next night to set up an interview. I arrived a few minutes early and noticed most of the associates seemed rather unhappy--quite possibly because of all of the clutter in the store. The jewelry counter had displays all around about 2 feet high, so I was truly in awe that the lady behind the counter could direct me where to go (which was helpful because no one else seemed interested in helping me.) Anyway, during the interview, I was asked standard questions about my previous jobs. Pretty straightforward; nothing too out of the ordinary. The interviewer said the position I had applied for (and was excited about) was no longer available. I think she could tell I was a little disappointed to hear that, but I got a sales associate job offer 5 days later.

Negotiation Details
There wasn't much room for negotiation, even based on my previous experiences in this field. It was a little above minimum wage. A majority of the positions are part-time, but if it's close to home and you need a job, I'd go for it.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Dallas, TX (took 3 days)
I applied in person. I got an interview with assistant manager. The interview had standard interview questions: customer situations, upset customers, why you want this job. Then I had a second interview with general manager. Same type of questions, but a bit more specific. Asked about availability, which seemed crucial for the job. Nothing hard. Left thank you letter. Got a call that I had an offer and accepted.

Negotiation Details
There was not much room for negotiation. This was my first job and they offered a decent amount. If you had more customer service experience or applied for full time then you differently have room to negotiate a better wage.

I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Jun 2008 (took a day)
I applied for the position online and decided to followup in person. I'm glad I did, because they had no idea of my online application. I asked for and received an interview time within a week. I showed up on time, dressed with a hard copy of my resume & some notes. The store manager interviewed me in a friendly and open manner for approximately 45 minutes. I felt confident that I could handle the job and was also made to feel confident that I could be promoted to future positions within the corporate structure. I went home and received a call offering me the position that same afternoon. I started working in two weeks.

Negotiation Details
The only thing I was able to negotiate was the low end of my pay. My minimum hourly wage was ten dollars and I wouldn't budge.
