Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
I was contacted by telephone and offered an interview, which was to be given a few days later at the campus--several hours' drive from my home. Given the amount of travel required, I requested hotel accomodations and was given a room at a nice hotel, very near the campus. I arrived late in the evening and went to the scheduled interview the next day.
The inteview was carried out by a panel, and the general atmosphere was very gracious and welcoming, but professional. The interview consisted of alternating questions about my problem-solving skills, my ability to work with well with a team, and my teaching philosophy. I was then asked to give a brief, 10 minute teaching presentation. A computer and projector were provided, along with a "smart" clicker to advance slides. By this time, the tempo had shifted into a comfortable, quite natural pace. And I felt confident that an offer would be made. It was made clear to me that I would be offered the position at the end of the presentation, although, technically, the "actual" offer is made by telephone from a chief officer at the company's headquarters.

Negotiation Details
I was able to negotiate an increase from the base salary with relative ease. By performing a search of CUPA-HR's salaries for professors, I was able to present my findings to the individual who contacted me to finalize and make official the offer of employment. Within this organization, there is a standard salary window for professors--regardless of their areas of expertise.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Group/Panel Interview, a Presentation and a Background Check.
