Interviewed Mar 2010 in Akron, OH (took 3 weeks)
Summa leadership team was very prompt and professional. Initial interviews were held over the phone with directors and physicians. Questions were concise, yet not repetitive. The questions differed greatly between directors (focus on operations and financials) and physicians (staff management and scheduling), which is typical.

Negotiation Details
My experience placed me at the top of their pay scale. Hospital pay scales are very ridged and inflexible. No negotiation on pay, however, there were three positions available that varied in responsibility and difficulty which allowed me some decision making.

They had me come in and asked me a lot of questions about my background and experience. They they told me how much money I would make and what the requirements of the job were, and offered me the job. It was a really great experience and I'm so glad that I took the job.

Applied online and personality test. HR contacted me. Quick phone conversation on position, what looking for. Overview of my experience. Invited for personal interview. Interviewed with same HR person and two hiring managers. Interview lasted an hour and half. Week later asked to come in for a three hour job shadow. Walked with employees to see daily job duties. Did not hear from them after. Sent email to HR, no response. Week later received standard "no thanks, but good luck" email and a week after that a canned letter as well.
