Very Difficult Interview
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Sun Microsystems in June 2013.
Interview Details – A lengthy process that fishes out the best from the pool. There are no 2nd stringers within the team -- it is a place to be a proud employee if chosen. Early Sun was the true excitement of any computer scientist: new technologies released almost weekly, quality products, and easy to become passionate about.
Interview Question – Many. The interview process is, as mentioned, lengthy. As such, it is one of the most difficult entries in the market. Answer Question
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Sun Microsystems in December 2012.
Interview Details – I received a phone call unexpectedly. Although I was actively looking, I took the call and started to negotiate the position after learning about what they needed. I met with the recruiter who then referred me to the hiring Director at that time. We had a good phone conversation and I was hired shortly after following one more in-person interview
Interview Question – Wow, its been a while. I don't remember any specific questions. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I told them what I was asking for and they agreed.
Pros: The name of Sun Microsystem is recognizable by most tech savy people. I enjoy working in a fast paced work force that is creative and organized. – Full Review
