Interview Details – Pretty brief; just what you'd expect from any regular phone interview- Resume walk through, why you want the position...etc.
Interview Question – If you and your four friends go out to dinner and are seated at a round table with five seats, what is the probability you will sit in exactly the correct order with respect to your ages. Assume no one is the exact same age. View Answers (3)
The process took 1 week - interviewed at Susquehanna International Group, LLP in August 2011.
Interview Details – Here are the two math questions that they asked during my phone interview:
What are the chances of you getting the same number when rolling 3 dice?
What are the chances of you getting the number 6 all three times?
If 5 people of different ages came into a restaurant, and they were seated at a round table with exacty five seats, what are you chances of them sitting in age order?
What if they were seated at a long table with exactly five seats (the 5 people will sit side by side)?
