Interviewed Jan 2009 in Pune (India) (took a day)
The campus interview generally consists of 2 1:1 technical rounds followed by a HR round. In the 1:1 round, they stress on OS concepts, algorithms, coding, etc. They ask you rate yourself on various competencies at the beginning of the interview, and try to test your stronger suites.
In OS concepts, they generally ask very low level details of semaphores/mutexes, etc. Dining philosopher problem, deadlocks, race conditions, etc also feature in the interview. Besides these, they also ask the sorting algorithms, some puzzles, etc. Overall, the interview process looks good to separate smart people good in computer science fundamentals from those who are not.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Hyderabad (India) (took 3 weeks)
Prepare well for your projects. Most of the questions are on OS, Data structure and algorithms. From the discussion It was clear that they have flexible timings like other organizations. Overall it was a good experience. They took around four tech rounds and one HR round. First they started with a phone screen but it was not a technical round.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Pune (India) (took 3 days)
HR got my reference through a job site and scheduled a telephonic interview. I was interviewed by an existing employee of the same grade for which I was being interviewed. This was purely a technical round that involved computer engineering concepts, programming language and design principles.
The second round was with technical manager. I was given a case study and then asked to design a software system to solve the problem. First I was asked to create a high-level architecture diagram and then low level component diagram. Then I was asked to write a few small programs (in C#) alongwith explaining the algorithms I use to solve the problems.
The third round was with senior technical manager and this time it was mix of technical as well as inter-personal skill types of questions. I was asked to solve 5 puzzles (of level medium to difficult) and then solve a problem by writing an algorithm and using binary tree approach.
The fourth and last round was with my to-be manager for behavioral skills, and salary negotiations.

Negotiation Details
Symantec will (almost) always offer you the best salary as per their standards. So the scope of negotiation is very less since they will give you their best offer without any negotiation.
Still, having said that, you can always try to get 3-5% over their initial offer. I was able to get extra 3% on negotiation, that went for about 30mins.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test and a Skills Test.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Pune (India) (took a day)
Interview process was pretty fast. But Person who interviewed me was not having domain knowledge. He was having his own preconceived wrong fundamentals. He asked me few stupid questions and then another manager asked few questions. Asked me to write one tricky DB query. But he was not happy with answer I have provided. Overall experience was too bad.
