I applied through a recruiter and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Symantec in December 2010.

Interview Details – Process started with an initial call with the in-house recruiter. From there I had a brief phone screen with the hiring manager. Then face-to-face with the hiring manager. Next I met with a peer in my organization and then the head of the sales engineering team supporting the district. After I was able to negotiate those hurdles I met with my bosses boss for 2+ hours of rigorous back and forth on sales approach and methodologies. Next I had another meeting with the hiring manager (dinner) and then I got the offer a week later. Process gave me a good opportunity to meet folks in the organization and give me a good feel for the job and the culture of the team.

Interview Question – None really - I had more experience then all the folks that interviewed me - think they were just looking for a culture fit as I had all the required experience to do the job.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Pretty straight forward - offer was in-line with what we discussed in the early phases of the interview process.

Negotiation Details – Back and forth 2-3 times before we agreed on the basic salary
