I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at Syntel in November 2013.
Interview Details – I was short listed from the Syntellect 2013 online test held at various cities throughout the country. The interview process had three rounds - 1. Group discussion, 2. Technical round, 3. HR round. Each round was an elimination round. My GD topic was "What steps should an organization take to restore it's tarnished image in the market?" In the technical round, I was asked about my project, technical questions from my favourite subject in CS graduation, why I'd like to join Syntel and finally a puzzle. The HR person asked me about my family background, my future plans, about my extra-curricular activities and my education.
Interview Question – You're given three boxes with red balls in the first one, blue in the second and red and blue both in the third. The boxes are labelled wrongly. Now your task is to identify the colour of the balls in each box. Can it be done in a single step? View Answer

I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at Syntel in July 2009.
Interview Details – Firstly a HR interviewed basic questions on My background and on basic details of Mutual funds, soon followed by an Aptitude test, which was then followed by a manager interview......It was an easy interview as most of the candidates turning up for interview are selected even if they are not so up to mark . HR people need to be more vigilant in scrutinizing candidates, Work culture is good enough...I BELIEVE "SYNTEL WILL KEEP PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT PERFORM BUT WOULD NEVER KEEP PEOPLE WHO TURN UNETHICAL"
Negotiation Details – It was my first job and first interview, so negotiation was the last thing i had in my mind. I just wanted to enter corporate world at any salary....Being a low salary structured company, it seems difficult Syntel will recruit people at higer pay packets.
I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Syntel in May 2010.
Interview Details – The initial communications started from the call from the company by asking me the basic question of my educational qualification, where i stay and whether i am comfortable with the night shifts and interested in working in the particular field. after knowing my views they scheduled my interview date and called me for the same. there were total 4 rounds of interview, 1. HR interview 2. aptitude test 3. group interview 4. operation interview.........In the above interview the interviewer checked how confident we are, our general knowledge and knowledge about the field, it also check our patience and whether we can handle the high work pressure or not ....... The working environment and people are good with whom i came contact with.
