Interviewed Oct 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 1 week)
I submitted an application online through TD website in September.
I received a call from HR and I was asked if I was still interested in the position. The HR personnel also asked me basic questions regarding my educational background and work history, as well as why I applied to the position.
I received a second phone call just to let me know I was invited to an in-person interview with an HR staff and manager the next day.
In-Person Interview: It was a Panel Interview, with an HR staff and the Department Manager, consisting mostly behavioral questions, like 8-10 of them. Then the department manager also explained about the role as well as the department in general.
After interview, they said they would let me know whether they decided to offer the position to me or not within the next 2 days.
It was the same day, about 2 hours later, I got the call from HR and said they were glad to decide to offer to me a conditional offer of employment.

Interviewed May 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
The person in charge of the position called me to see if I was still interested in the position. I told her I was, and we arranged for a day for me to come in and talk with her and show her some of my work. I went in for the interview. I checked in at the reception. The woman came to greet me shortly after. We walked to the room where she thought she was going to interview me only to find that it was not available. For the next 5 minutes she had to hunt around for a free room. She finally decided to interview me in the staff lounge. She explained the position to me. Then she posed some hypothetical questions to me (What would you do if someone came to you with this issue). Then I showed her my work. She offered a lot of positive feedback and was very kind throughout the process. She told me she would make her decision within the next 5 days. 3 weeks later she called and left a voice mail on my cell phone. She basically said that she hired someone else for the position "so this marks the end of our journey together." It was a very weird and unprofessional rejection message. It definitely makes me think twice about the kind of people they hire.

Interviewed May 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 3 days)
Got an email from what turned out to be the hiring manager, and NOT someone in HR, which I thought was great. Via email, we agreed to meet three days later. The woman seemed friendly and warm.
At the appointed time, again, the woman seemed very friendly. .
We met in her office for almost an hour, in a very relaxed environment. We had a professional but very nice conversation. She asked me all sorts of questions and seemed impressed with me. She said she'd get back to me in about a week.
I left quite buoyed by the whole experience. I really wanted this job so was very happy.... Later that day I sent her a thank you note and she replied back, wishing me a good weekend.
Unfortunately, that was the last time I heard from her.
There was NO follow up call or email, as promised. When I emailed her asking for an update, she never replied. I then telephoned, this time asking if I was still a candidate for the position. Again, complete silence.
So, it was one of the strangest interview experiences I've had and I am STILL wondering what happened....

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
3 interviews with team as well as with HR. Technical questions heavily involved and most of the questions are closely related to the products used in daily work. There are also brain teasers during the interview involving some math questions. Need to show your loyalty to the team and your commitment to the job as the division as a whole has high turn over rate and wish to retain people who work there. Do not be intimidated by the pressure interview give you and it doesn't represent his/her true opinion on you.
