Customer Service Representative Interview

Customer Service Representative

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at TD Canada Trust.

Interview Details – First had a phone pre-screen interview, a week later I had an in-person interview at a branch with two people. One was reading questions from a screen to me while the other was typing my answers as I was speaking. The questions were generic; tell me about yourself, where do you see yourself in 5 years, what attracted you to TD etc. Then came the behavioral customer service questions like, tell us about a time when you dealt with an angry customer, what was the result? etc

Interview Question – What have you identified as your greatest weakness, and what are you planning to do in the future to rectify it?   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at TD Canada Trust in July 2010.

Interview Details – Submitted resume through my aunt who works there. The Branch Manager called me in and interviewed me. It was standard BDI questions like "tell me about a time when you....had a difficult client interaction/ had to solve a problem/ had to go above and beyond.... etc". He asked me about my previous work experience and why I left the jobs I had worked for before.

Interview Question – What is it about this position that interests you the most?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – I didn't try to negotiate. Being in university, the hourly wage was more than minimum wage, and that's all I was looking for.

I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at TD Canada Trust.

Interview Details – I was hired in 1984 and came with sound knowledge from another institution. I was hired after a quick interview with the manager. I worked for several years in this position then moved up the assistant manager in the banks administration office. After a huge lay off in 1997 I left Td and went to another institution for 2 years. I returned part-time to Td Canada trust when a Manager approached me to come back to Td as a part-time CSR.

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 1 week - interviewed at TD Canada Trust in October 2013.

Interview Details – Process is as follow:

1. got referred to this branch by a manager in another branch
2. short interview with one of the managers in this branch
3. waited around 1 week and got another phone call to arrange another interview
4. long interview with 2 managers (1 hr and 20 min)
5. received an online assessment from HR on the same day after the interview
6. waited for 3 days and got a call from HR with their good news
7. filling in several forms and getting ready to undergo background check
8. if satisfied, 4 consecutive days of training in downtown and 1 week training in branch prior to real work

Interview Question – Pretty much the same as others has said in this forum, unexpected ones could be using other languages to respond to interview's questions as it is a trilingual position.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – It's pretty hard to get a job in bank during the recession. I wouldn't suggest negotiating few more cents per hr in return for the risk of not getting an offer.
