TEKsystems Java Developer Interview

I am a manager and if an employee works on a side task in their free time, all the better to encourage the employee if it's something the company could benefit from, which is what I believe the question entails. From what I see in these reviews in Montreal area, seems like managers seem very insecure. I'd love to ask these types of questions to such managers, "What would you do if you know one of your best employees spreads the rumor that you are not as competent as you set out to be?" I think people who ask questions as you mentioned would jump at just the thought of such a question, yet they have no issues asking others such questions.
