Interviewed Aug 2011 in Nashville, TN (took 3 weeks)
After several emails with two different TFA departments in two different cities:
Two interviewers over -the-phone. Very nice, introduced themselves and the career path through TFA.
Behavioral style interview.
Common questions describing yourself and your professional background. PREPARE using their website and the job description!!!
Be sure to discuss your background's connection to TFA's mission and core values.
Interview went really well but I know it did not help that I wasn't enthusiastic about relocating!

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Chicago, IL (took 3 months)
The TFA interview process is extremely rigorous. I think that one must keep in mind that many really qualified (and, over-qualified) people are also applying for the same position you are. What that means is that, you may think you are the best candidate from your university or from the actual day-interview, but there are MANY other candidates you are unaware of interviewing all across the country. Be as prepared as possible and hope that you "above" the competition, so to speak. (I'm also implying that since it is so competitive, do not get discouraged if you are not chosen. It may simply be a result of not enough positions.)

Interviewed Nov 2010 (took 3 weeks)
I went through the entire recruitment process, from meeting with a corps member to the written application to the various stages that followed. The first round is the application, then you may or may not get a phone interview, which consists of behavioral questions. Then if you make it past that, you're invited to the day-long interview where you present a lesson plan to your fellow students, debate an issue (almost like a group case interview), and then you go on for 1:1 interviews. The 1:1s are weird because they actually cite things from your application. And at least in my interview, they focused on something I had done ages ago and not really asked about anything that I have done in more recent years. They also quote from your essay and ask you to comment on specific quotes. Overall, it was a lot of work, but I guess that gauges your interest in the job.
