Interviewed Jan 2011 in Charlotte, NC (took 2 days)
I was interviewed in person 4 times and on the phone once. I intereviewed with the entire team that I would be working with, including some outside managers. I was contacted by a talent acquisitions manager in San Francisco, who was slow to get in touch and let me know what was going on. I drove up to Charlotte (about 75 miles), on four separate occasions and was never reimbursed for anything.
The campus is impressive, the people were fine, but they were slow to keep me in the loop, and really did not seem like they actually cared about me as a person. Of course I would have accepted the offer had it been given (depending on compensation), but they ended up hiring an internal candidate.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Charlotte, NC (took 4 weeks)
My initial contact with the company came through on-campus career fairs and information sessions. I networked with some IT managers and handed off some resumes. I also applied online to the position. I was selected first for an on campus interview about a week after the career fair / info session. The interviewer focused mainly on behavioral questions such as the following: how do you respond to change? Tell me about a time when you had a disagreement with a colleague and how did you handle it? Tell me about a time when you experienced a problem with a software project you were working on, and how did you solve it? The interviewer actually made me feel very comfortable, and the interview felt more like a casual conversation though still very professional.
The next step came after I was emailed with a date to come in and interview with 5 different IT managers, along with 5 other potential candidates. The interview was scheduled like a round-robin, with each candidate with a different interviewer for five 25 minute intervals with a 5 minute break between. Each interviewer was assigned a topic (business knowledge, technical knowledge, etc) The atmosphere was very fun and friendly, while still very professional. I actually had a great time talking with each interviewer, and while they did ask me many questions they also offered valuable insight into what it is like working in the world of IT. After this day of interviews, on a Thursday, they extended me an offer the next Monday, and I accepted.

Negotiation Details
Did not need to negotiate. I had received a previous offer from another company which I was transparent about, and the company exceeded the offer without need for negotiation. They did not try to low-ball and work their way up like some had suggested might happen.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.

It took for EVER. I had given up three separate times, but then would be called and asked for more information or another interview. Advice to seekers out there, be persistent, network like crazy, and don't give up! If not selected the first time, apply again, but definitely make sure the first position is closed before you do. You don't want to be perceived as desperate, but diligent.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Charlotte, NC (took 1+ week)
First call was from HR who asked a few questions and arranged an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager called a few days later at the assigned time and basically asked a few questions about my abilities. He explained what they were looking for in a System Admin. He stated that I had more skills than they were looking for but my strongest skills were what they were after anyway. He told me he was going to schedule a panel Technical interview. 2 days later a lady called and scheduled that interview which actually turned into a series of 3 interviews with 3 different people.
The first guy to interview me called 20 minutes late and asked a few questions about my experience in general and then started asking some VMWare questions starting with the easier ones and moving to the harder questions. The easy questions were about HA, VMWare tools, and DRS and how they worked. I know I got those right but he appeared to not believe my answers. I had the write ups straight from the book in front of me so I knew the answers were correct. I think the only questions I got completely wrong was on Thin/Thick provisioning which is more about disk space than VMWare and about PowerCLI which just came out. As I said I got maybe 90% of the questions right. The next guy to call was all about Windows Server and he really didn't ask any questions but went over my resume. The last guy to call was like the second guy. He asked about my Windows experiences and what I had been doing and we had a pleasant conversation. He did ask a question about Citrix with which I have had a little experience. But Citrix it was also not one of the requirements of the job according to the hiring manager.
2 days later I received an email saying the company was not interested at this time but would keep my resume in case "Something came up."

Interviewed May 2011 in Charlotte, NC (took 2 weeks)
A recruiter contacted me within a few days of posting my resume to set up a phone interview. She asked about my experience, why I wanted to work for the company, and what the position was about. She asked me right away if I wanted to move forward in the interview process. A day later I got a call to schedule an interview.
I read in previous interviews that a mock call and a fake sale was done, but I was not asked to do these things. I had two interviewers who asked me behavior based questions.
The interviewers seemed to like when I asked questions about the nature of the job and the company. I did not think I did well in my responses but I heard back exactly one week later from the original recruiter with a job offer.

Negotiation Details
I did not attempt to negotiate honestly because I was so grateful for the extension of the offer. I was told the salary range was low to mid 40s and I received a range in the mid 40s.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Charlotte, NC (took 3 months)
Very good conversations in a behavioral interview format. Each conversation was different, and it was great that each interviewer brought his or her own perspective to the conversation and asked questions. The best part of the interviews were that most were forward-looking instead of reading my resume aloud. Having multiple connect points made it nice to get an understanding of the company and how my role connects to the work in front of the organization.

Interviewed May 2010 in Charlotte, NC (took 6 weeks)
Had two phone interviews and was told that there would be a group interview. That interview never happened because I was going to work remotely and they decided during the interview process that they needed someone on location. The process was good and the people were great. Unfortunately communication back from the recruiter was very limited despite the fact that the hiring manager said she wanted me to meet with others.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Charlotte, NC (took 2 weeks)
Overall, the interview process went extremely well. Make sure your resume looks great to obtain the phone call from HR. I had a phone interview with HR for 30 minutes to go over my experiences and school work, then had two office interviews. Basic questions:
Know what TIAA-CREF stands for and whtat the company does.
Know that they have three major hubs in Charlotte, NC, NYC, and Denver, CO
Interview Questions
Give me an example when you had to use virtual communication in another experience.
Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate. I thought 15/Hr. for an intern position was fair.
