After applying I contacted the store manager and let her know I was experienced in retail and was interested in a part time position while I attended college @ UB. She had the hiring manager call me the next day and when I got in she offered me the position without an interview.

So apply either online for in store at a kiosk, pick the store, answer basic questions and personality test, you get a call from HR scheduling an interview, you come it, meet HR, the department manager, and store manager. they each ask you questions, and at the end tell you if you got the job. You come in for training, which is watching a alcohol/tobacco video, safety video, and friendliness.

Interviewed May 2008 in Buffalo, NY (took 2 weeks)
Met with recruiter in carryout cafe in store. Very informal meeting and experience. Asked basic questions about prior work experience, hours available, ability to float to other stores, etc. Gave me the opportunity to ask questions about the position and expectations of interns. Met the pharmacy supervisor, and that was it I was hired! Dress nice but don't be a total suck up, remember retail pharmacy is as much about personality as it is about knowledge.
