Interviewed Sep 2011 in Mesa, AZ (took a day)
After applying online, I received a phone call to set up a panel interview. On the day of the interview, there were five chief engineers and a woman from human resources. The actual interview consisted of both hypothetical/situational as well as technical questions. The HR woman wrote down all my answers. Remember to stay calm.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Livonia, MI (took a day)
The first step in TRW's hiring process is to get recognized by their human resources. Once this happens, you will usually get a call within a few days asking you to set up a one on one interview with managers, chief engineering, program managers, directors, etc. Once this occurs, internally, human resources posts your interview date, and management then sign up for slots to talk with you.

Interviewed May 2011 in Farmington Hills, MI (took 3 weeks)
The main Interviewer called me almost immediately after I applied to set up a phone interview. During the phone interview I was asked some questions from programming language C besides other personal or background related question. He wanted to make sure whether it is worthy to call for the on-site interview.
The on-site interview was panel interview by four different groups. The questions starts from a very easy one but they can and will go very deep just to see the depth of knowledge. They expect that the candidate will have knowledge for programming, related hardware and industry practices for writing, maintaining and testing codes.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Mesa, AZ (took 3 weeks)
College grad, submitted cover letter/resume, two weeks later got called in for interview. Interview was a panel interview but HR person was not present (out ill). Couple of engineers, supervisors, technician. Engineers put me through the ringer in terms of level of knowledge. Schematics, diagrams, troubleshooting scenarios all were fair game. I almost felt that since HR wasn't there, they took no pity. At any rate, the process went pretty well and I received an offer within the week.

Negotiation Details
I was able to negotiate a bit but not much since I was eager to work in a downturn economy. I would certainly recommend attempting to leverage on any offer. You miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take, right?

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 1+ week)
Initial communications & follow-up w/ TRW HR contact. Interview included hiring manager & his boss (chief eng'r) plus another manager sitting in to guage fit for a possible alternative opportunity. No set format to the interview. No clear person leading the questioning which made the situation awkward at times. Questions pertained to job specifics; hardly any of the typical behaviorial or traditional type interview questions were asked.

Interviewed Aug 2009 (took 2 months)
After an employee referral I was given an opportunity to interview. The process was confusing as I talked to two different HR recruitors during that process, both with different information. The initial phone interviews were setup but were rescheduled three times. After that step I didn't here back from anyone at HR for two months. The entire interview process seemed disorganized.

Interviewed Feb 2009 (took 1+ week)
Phone interview went well, asking about supervising expererance and how I handled the skilled trades? I told him I lead by example and worked as a team with all skilled trades. Would also have the experanced workers work with non-experanced to use it as training. Problems are sloved as a group with my final appoveal to proceed. I was asked to explain my PM experance and safety training. On the 1:1 interview I was basicly toured though the plant and introduced to some of the operators and a pipefitter. then the HR manager told me he would call me real soon. I was called two days latter saying, they can not hire any one at this time, Main office had pulled the job, and would call me when they could hire again!!
