Interviewed Apr 2012 in Atlanta, GA (took 5 weeks)
I first sought out an on-campus recruiter with an e-mail. I received a call back to set up the initial phone screening and phone interview. I told a little bit about myself and the recruiter recommended me on for a second interview with a local store team leader. The recruiter offered a lot of advice about the STAR method and stressed for me to talk about MY leadership ability during the second interview. The 2nd interview was exactly the same as the recruiter said it would be, no surprises. You really get the feeling thet want you to succeed. The recruiter contacted me for further consideration and set up an appointment with the VP of HR over the phone. This consisted of telling him about myself and answering 2 behavioral-based questions, lasting a total of 8 minuets. I have received an offer.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Suwanee, GA (took a day)
Went through 2 interviews, one with a team lead and the second with an ETL. The process was very short with both interviews. Both interviews were in the same day, back to back. You do not get to pick the department you get to work in, they choose it for you.
Negotiation Details
There was no opportunity to negotiate and you are expected to make a decision immediately and on the spot. Make sure this is something you really want to do.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Personality Test.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Lawrenceville, GA (took 2 months)
The phone interview went well and the person I spoke with seemed happy and excited about working for the company. However, my one on one interviewer was very dull and boring. He didn't seem like he enjoyed working there. It made me feel like I was BOTHERING him by showing up to the interview. Made me not want to work for Target, if it was only 10 AM and this person was already THAT unhappy doing his job!

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 5 weeks)
I was put into contact with Target through one of my previous supervisors. He had recently been accepted for a job as a store manager with Target. After I made initial contact, I was put into contact with the College Recruiting Coordinator for the Southeast Region. We had a 45 minute phone interview in which she asked a number of general, "get to know you" questions followed by a set of five behavioural questions in which she wanted answers based on the STAR method of interviewing. Overall I though the interview went well. After about two weeks, I received an email from Target's HR department stating that they were going to be pursuing other candidates. It is unfortunate that Target's policy is to not provide feedback to "outside applicants," so I was not able to find out what exactly they didn't like about me. Oveall, I enjoyed the process and everyone that I spoke to was upbeat and very pleasant to talk to. My only complaint is that the news that I would not be proceeding any further in the interview process was given through a generic HR email. It would have been much more professional for Target to call me directly to give me that news.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 months)
Very long process began with phone interview with HR employee, which was just informal questions.
1 hour online skills test was required before a formal phone interview with the same HR person.
Next was an in-store interview with a STL.
Following this was an interview with a DTL and different HR employer.
Last interview was over the phone with a higher up HR employee, followed by an offer several days later.
At every step, there were behavioral questions and specific STAR based questions that were to be answered in a specific manner.
Overall, the interview process is much longer than necessary, should be combined into a superday instead of being spread out over 2 months.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took a day)
3 separate interviews with various managers and store managers. Application was internal and took about a week and a half before I got a call to come for the first interview. Overall the process was not bad and the interview questions were situational, as most are these days. Got kind of repetitive having to answer questions about "A time when you..." but it's no problem if you have to think for a second as they are not expecting you to have answers prepared specifically for those questions.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 weeks)
First interview with the recruiter went great. Second interview had to be done over the phone because I was out of state. For the second interview make sure you do it in person. I believe that is what dinged me.Questions are very intense. Brush up on workplace scenarios. Be a cheerleader for Target. Know company history.

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 weeks)
The culture at Target is great. Therefore, the interviewers are especially Target "brand" and are really enthusiastic about the company. My interview process consisted of 4 separate 30-60 minute 1-on-1 interviews conducted by store team leads, followed up by a final interview by a district team lead, and an offer. It was quite a pleasant experience!
