Interviewed Jan 2012 in Minneapolis, MN (took 2 months)
I originally applied to Target through my university's career website. When Target came to the career fair my school was hosting, I was offered an interview for the sales and marketing position. They were quite happy with the experience on my resume and said I was qualified for the job. The next day I interviewed with the company and was asked some pretty basic personal and scenario questions. Surprisingly there was not a second interview and they called me within 2 weeks and offered me the position.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Minneapolis, MN (took 3 days)
There is an initial phone interview through HR. They are extremely nice and will guide you through the interview process. The interview is more around your background, why you are interested, skill sets, etc.
Then they fly you to minneapolis for 1:1 interviews. I had about 6 interviews one after another including a lunch interview. It is behavioral: tell me a time when you had a conflict; tell me a time when you had too much to do with little time to do it; tell me a time when you made a mistake
Once that is over, they take you to do a skills test. This is like a mini SAT test. Verbal and math. In the meantime, they deliberate if they liked you or not. If they do, they will bring you in for one last interview with the director of the group. Again, this is a behavioral interview.
After that, you are set. :)

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took 1+ week)
Met with HR reps at a local college career fair day - I went prepared to offer a high energy 30 second pitch and it worked out. I was scheduled for 1:1 interview the next day with a senior manager and it was the same scenario - bring lots of energy. Heard back two days later to be invited to a super day at headquarters. They paid for my meals and hotel. Offer was made within a week.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2+ weeks)
Job Fair -> 1 on 1 with a Senior level manager -> Super day (Panel interview, 2x 1 on 1 interviews, group tours)
Overall, target is a very exciting place for a potential employee to visit. The culture is friendly and welcoming. Managers and VP's are "cool" enough to take the time to meet with you too!

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took a day)
My communications were initially through email. They had me take a few tests on their website. The first was very behavioral questions. The second test was all financial, with a very strict time constraint. The interview was all behavioral questions, 30 minutes. Overall, the process was complete in a few weeks from start to finish.
