I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Nov 2011
Interview
Sent in an application, called up the store and attempted to speak with the store manager, took 3 calls in one day to be able to speak to the manager and was offered if I wanted to be interviewed and accepted. Day of the interview I walked into the store casual (jeans and a tshirt) and not in a suit like I had planned to. Was told to go to the back of the store into their break room I guess, sat down and was given an assessment test of 20 questions to fill out on paper. Was talking to a young lady who was also being interviewed there and anyone else who came in to the room (guess Target liked that). I was given 2 1:1 interviews, one right after the other and the second person who interviewed me told me they would like to and are certainly moving forward with me and now would wait for Monday to continue the process. Questions were easy and were read off of a packet where they write down your answers. Questions asked included:
1. Why do you want to work for Target?
2. If we would speak to your old managers/supervisors/teachers what would they say your strengths are?
3. What about area(s) of improvement?
4. Name a time you were assigned to work in an area that was out of your skill set?
5.Name a time you worked with someone to accomplish a goal.
6. Name a time you worked with a team and how you accomplished your goal.
7. Name a time you were asked to work with someone who you were frustrated with and what happened?
Best advice is to stay completely calm, be friendly, smile a lot and be honest with your answers. If you have trouble answering them because you have no work experience, the people interviewing you will help you find a situation in life to refer to.
The interview is 100% Virtual. Verry straight forward. You have about 3 minutes to think of your answer to the question and another 3 to record your answer. You get 3 chances to re-record your answer to each question.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Blaine, MN) in Sep 2023
Interview
I have never had such a difficult on boarding process. The initial interview was great. In the interview, I mentioned I had a family matter to take care of and would not be available. The manager and I agreed to delay my start date by a week and advise me to watch my email for an offer letter. Then CRICKETS
