      Guest Service Attendant Interview

      Feb 23, 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Waco, TX

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in May 2009

      Interview

I applied at Target online at 1:00 a.m. and awoke at 10 a.m. that same day with a call to come in for an interview the next day. When I came in, I sat down and took a math test (VERY easy) and a personality test (What makes a good leader, etc.) which was only 28 questions combined. Three executive team leaders then conducted one on one interviews. They read from a script and rated the responses on a scale of 1-5 (five being the best). The questions were all situational (tell me about a time when...) and very unoriginal. I felt as if I was having a conversation with the "cool" kids in high school and didn't feel that I fit the culture of Target (although I had told them that I admired it). After a few minutes one of the executives came out and offered me a job starting at $8.25 an hour working 32-40 hours per week.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2018

      Interview

I interviewed with the person that would be managing me. The interview started with a series of questions around self description. Basically like a getting to know you. So they ask you the general question, tell me about yourself. In the interview process they also emphasize modeling. So they would often ask you a question and then provide an example of what they were looking for with that question.

      Question 1

Tell me about a time when you had to change someone’s opinion or convince someone of something.

I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Wilmington, MA) in Aug 2017

      Interview

Interview process was informal. Interviewed by two separate managers. Target members make you feel welcome and are very personable. The questions asked were easily answered with good common sense.
