I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC) in Jun 2011
Interview
Applied online and I got a call the next day to set up the interview. I arrived at the store and I was told to go to a computer and I had to take answer 20 questions what would you do in different situations. I was then called in and interviewed by a young guy who made some small talk and then asked me questions right out of a target booklet. He was friendly and after writing down everything told me that I would then be interviewed by another person. They then had me wait about 20 minutes before a young lady approached me and told me she ran the whole front end and asked me to follow her to the cafe since no offices were available. She didn't look too happy and she had another guy with her who she told me was learning how to interview people so he would be sitting in. There was no small talk she just went right into reading questions from another booklet. The questions were nothing I didn't expect after reading this site. Prior to her starting to read the questions she did say if I had a question about a question feel free to ask. When she did read one I wasn't quite sure about I asked her about the question and she just read the same question over again with a real attitude. I knew right there I wasn't getting the job, plus there was no way I was going to work for her if she did offer me the job. The best was when she asked me how much experience did I have for the position I was applying for. I almost laughed since I was applying for a cart attendant position. So since I knew there was no way I was going to work for her my answer was " I have zero experience, but I didn't think I needed any to push carts and clean bathrooms." I think I took her by surprise with my answer since she got a funny look on her face. I guess she got it that at this point we were all just wasting each others time. One more question after that and then she said thanks for applying and she said she would have to give this to HR for them to look over. Again I have been around awhile and I know a blow off when I see one. I really wanted to say, yea I'll be waiting by the phone but I guess my work related experiences in life kicked in and I just said thanks and left on a civil note.

Question 1
When did you work in a team and what was the result
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Target (Mansfield, TX) in Aug 2025
Interview
It was an online interview, and I didn't meet anyone face-to-face. So, it was a little awkward to act like myself when I was just looking at a screen rather than actually speaking to a person.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Tell me about a time you worked as part of a team to complete a goal."
They give you questions virtually, then time to prepare a response. You don't actually have an interview with a person, your answers to the questions are recorded. A manager will then review your answers and then proceed from there.

Question 1
You notice a guest needs help on the sales floor, but you're in the middle of a task. What do you do?
I applied for the position online, and was called for an interview a few days later. I had interview with a team lead and then an exec team lead. Very straightforward and simple experience overall.
