Interviewed Jan 2010 in Abington, PA (took 1+ week)
There was many ways you would expect this interview to go such as the manager interviewing you instead of a Supervisor and then someone over them. There are many stores includes other target stores that seem show have people who know what they would like for their store to keep up the good work instead of having multiple people check into certain people just to see what that L.O.D. may like at a certain point especially if they are inexperienced you may lose many great workers you would of wanted yourself. It was slow and both asked the same main questions such as tell me a time you have made a bad situation good. Tell me a time you have done teamwork and why is it important

You will normally have multiple sets of interviews. First you will interview with the store executive team. This will be an A and B type scenario based interview. If you pass these you will likely get the opportunity to meet with the Store Team Leader who will be the one making the judgment call on whether or not to employ you. This individual will then give feedback to the district team leader based on their perceptions of you. Pretty much if they send you to interview with the DTL you have got the job. Last thing you should do is prepare at least 20 examples of high impact scenarios that you have facilitated.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Voorhees, NJ (took 2 weeks)
I became interested in applying for a leadership role at Target due to me wanting to exit the banking industry as a Branch Manager. I applied on Target's website for an availible ETL position. 2 days later, I received a phone call from a recruiter about the position and went through a screening interview. I was then scheduled for a phone interview with the recruiter later in that week and had to take a test which seemed a bit challenging. After completing 1st interview, I met with a Store Team Leader for second interview in the same week. Then, I was called to meet with the District Team Leader for the third interview the following week. Finally, I was asked to meet with an HR Business Partner and another Store Team Leader for the fourth and final interview! I was offered the position of Executive Team Leader the following day! The process seems rather tedious but went rather quickly. The interviews require that you are able to answer behaivoral questions!!! The company loves vibrant, energetic, and candidates with leadership skills!

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Philadelphia, PA (took 3 days)
I was interviewed by two Target store team leaders. They led me to a room where I was greeted by the two team leaders dressed in khaki pants and a red shirt like the typical Target employee uniform. They were very nice and friendly. One took notes of everything I said, while the other one asked me questions. The first page of questions which she asked me from a written list were basic questions like "If hired will you be able to provide proof of citizenship?" and the other page of questions were situational questions such as "Tell me about a time where you had to work as a team". I thought the interview went well, and three days later I received an email asking me to complete an assessment test. This test consisted of about 96 questions and was easy in the beginning but got very challenging towards the end. I believe I must have messed up on this test, because the next day I received another email from Target telling me that they are looking into other candidates and I was not offered the position.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Quakertown, PA (took a day)
Well, I Ive been looking for work for quite some time now. I happened to be on the Target website and noticed they had some openings. I applied to become a flow team member. After completing the extensive application I was contacted several days later for the interview. When i arrived I was greeting by 2 male employees and taken into a back office to conduct the interview. It was pretty basic interview questions....IE: what is your greatest weakness/strength....why should we hire you.....so on and so forth. I didnt mind that both men were present for the interview but they took turns asking me the SAME questions....weird.... shortly after they were done explaining the position and finishing up the interview...they asked me to wait in the hall for a moment. They then asked me to come back in and they offered me the job.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Voorhees, NJ (took 6 weeks)
Applied online 1st week in December. Received phone call from someone in Human Resources, a "Business College Leader" to be exact, to set up a phone interview approximately one week later. Asked approximately 5 behavioral based questions along with: "Why Target?" Went very well and was told immediately I would be e-mailed the instructions to complete the "Online Assessment". This was a very long, 90 question test. The first half consisted of mostly behavioral/personality based questions while the second half was more analytical/quantitative, and actually semi-difficult. Took approximately 2 weeks to hear back, and now have an in person interview scheduled at the district office this week. So far from start to finish the process has taken approximately 1 month. Very strict and formal process which is good, just hope thie in person interview is the final stage...
