Interviewed Aug 2011 (took a day)
I applied for the job online (8/16/11). Seasonal Sales Floor Team Member. I got a call the next day (8/17/11), and a manager from the store scheduled an interview for 10:30am 8/19/11.
I had someone take me to the interview, and ended up getting there only 5 minutes before my interview's scheduled time. Thankfully, they were running a little behind (there were TEN others waiting to be interviewed) so it was no big deal. I asked a woman at the Guest Service desk where to go for my interview, and she told me to first take a 20-question assessment test on the Kiosk in the Guest Services area. It asked questions like, "If a customer walked in and you were already working with a customer, what would you do?" When I was finished I was told to wait in the Starbucks with the rest of the interviewees. I waited an hour and a half before my interviewer greeted me! So I went back to a little office where two very kind and laid-back young women interviewed me. They asked me four questions each, and I did very well because every question they asked me was a question I found on this site and practiced. REALLY PRACTICE THE QUESTIONS ON HERE! The have a booklet (I guess every Target uses the same one), and on each sheet is a question and three columns. They're to write your responses under these columns. One is for situation, another it for the action you took in the situation, and the last is for the outcome. This was my first job interview, and they were very understanding about that. I messed up one question (forgot what I was saying halfway through!) and apologized, and they just smiled and said that interviews are nerve-racking and it's okay because this was my first.
They asked me about my availability and if I preferred any certain part of the store to work in. It's good to make yourself available to work anywhere. They said you have to be trained in every area of the store anyway. I asked about the training process. They said if hired I would have to wait 3-5 days for my drug test and background check to go through, and that is when we would schedule orientation. She said training might take two weeks to complete, then I'd be working until December unless they have a position open for me afterwards.
They asked me to wait on a bench outside the door and told me the HR worker would be with me shortly. She greeted me about 15 minutes later and brought me to another office. She never said "you got the job". She just told me to sign the form that had my availability, then told me where to take my drug test, and told me about what I'd usually be doing in the store and what I'd be getting paid.
Apart from my mess up with one question, the interview went great! :)

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Superior, CO (took a day)
Applied online at Target.com. They called me in to interview a week later. At the target location, I filled out a questionnaire at a computer kiosk and then had two interviews. The first interview was with a lower manager and the second was with the store manager (others who interviewed also had a lower manager but had a different type upper manager). The key to getting a job here just doing a little research on what they want their culture to be like and say those things about yourself. Just say your "fast, fun and friendly" and you will get a lower level job here.

Then I met With one of the Managers. Tip:If You don't Understand the Question, Don't be afraid to ask for Clarifacation. After the First Interview, I was Instructed to wait in the Break Room. I was then Greeted by the HR Rep, who then Led me into another Room for My Second Interview. He Asked me the same Questions as in my first Interview. "Why Target?", "Describe a Time when you had to deal with a Co-Worker or Someone you didn't get along with, How did you handle it?" The whole Process took about two hours, After the Interview I was offred The Position, In Which I had to think about it. I want to Thank the HR Rep. for GIving me the Opprtunity and the TIme to Think it over.

Reason for Declining
This took some Time to think it over. They were not Able to match my Current pay, What I'm making now and. I found more Pros at my Current job then cons. I'm sure Target is an Awesome place to work and. Who knows maybe our paths will cross again in the Future but. I'm Currently happy where I'm at, I have been at my Current job for three years.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Charlottesville, VA (took a day)
I applied online and received a phone call the next day to come in for an interview. I had to sit at the kiosk and take a 20 question assessment. Afterwards a team member interviewed me and then a manager came in and asked me almost the same questions. Both people were very nice. I have no experience in retail and I'm fresh out of college but luckily I was able to answer the questions with the experience that I did have. Overall I had two interviews and I was offered the job and accepted. I have to take my drug test within the next 24 hours and then I have orientation next week.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Naples, FL (took a day)
I applied online and a couple hours later someone called me to set up an interview. The interview was pretty easy... I was interviewed by a team leader and after that by someone from HR i think. Both of them asked pretty much the same questions. Study the questions from this website and you should have no problem.
