Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 2 weeks)
Filled out numorous applications online, had telephone interview and set up appointment for ferther interview and training.I went in for group interview & presentation, which made me uncomfortable how they were pushing their religious views of the company and the numorous ways to get written up and get fired. It seemed a bit overboard. in the end, it wasnt worth the hassle for such little pay.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
Applied and received a call requesting an interview in 2 days. Did 2 back to back interviews. First was with the supervisor. He seemed very impatient and did a poor job on how to answer the "situation" cases. 2nd was with the LOD who was much nicer and professional.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took a day)
I filled out the application online and then got a call 2 days later to interview for the following week. On the day of the interview, I had to go to a computer at Target and fill out a questionnaire, about 15-20 questions. It was hard for me to read the questions because it was near the checkout line and it was loud with people talking, but I got through it.
Later I waited for a few minutes and a team leader interviewed me for about 20-25 minutes. There were some basic questions about me and my background. She asked about 4 multi-part questions that were in the same format: tell me about an experience you had, how you handled it, and what was the outcome. I was shown around the place I would be working in the back as a stocker.
I waited a few minutes and the store manager interviewed me in the same way as the team leader. I was given a conditional offer and an HR person interviewed me for about 2 minutes to tell me about wage and the drug test and how they would communicate with me about the next steps. The conditions to the offer are that the background check is OK and the drug test is OK.
The people were friendly and the work culture seems nice.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
I applied on the Target website and filled out all the personality test. When I hadn't heard back in three weeks I figured I wouldn't be hired. Finally I received a call and they wanted me to interview the next day. I first talked to one of the leads. They asked me a number of situational questions from a booklet. I am glad I had read on glass door about these as they didn't phase me too bad. Had I gone in cold I am sure I would have failed the interview, especially since it has been a few years since having one. After I talked to the lead I was then interviewed by another person. Same type of questions. BTW both associates were very nice. After answering all her questions she said she needed to see an HR person. When she came back she let me know they wanted to hire me but they didn't have the paper I needed to fill out. She asked if I could come back in a few hours. I said sure. I came back and met with an HR person and was informed of the seasonal job I would be doing. She gave me the drug test information (needs to be done within 24 hours). She said after the drug test and background check came back then she would schedule my orientation.
P.S. I rated this as a difficult interview because of all the situation questions. I have never had so many in all my job interviews. Again, I am glad I went in prepared. I don't think they care so much about what your examples are as long as you can explain yourself completely.

Negotiation Details
I didn't try and negotiate as the rate was $9.25 which is better than the minimum wage of $8.67 in Washington State. As this is a seasonal job I only expected to make minimum wage. I was pleasantly surprised.

Interviewed May 2010 (took a day)
I wanted to apply for a job at Target. The store application computers are always busy, so I decided to try the online application. I have to say that I wasn't very well prepared with all of the info needed and th application took me about an hour and a half. Might have been quicker if I wasn't at home, though with interruptions and all. Normal questions about school, work experience, etc. Turned it in back in May and never heard back.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in El Cajon, CA (took 1 week)
It was very odd. There was a written test with two different parts and then two different people coming in to interview me and asking me the same questions the last had as if they thought that I was lying the first time of something. It took a lot shorter time than they had estimated, but it was quite a tedious process.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took a day)
I completed the in-store online personality test which consisted of multiple choice questions relating to situations of coworkers' dishonesty, apparent customer theft, and invitations to break the chain of command at work. The questions come in pairs with identical wording and multiple choices, except that the first in the pair asks which is the BEST choice, and the second in the pair asks which is the WORST choice. This test is followed by a one-on-one interview in which situation-based questions are asked. This is as far as I have progressed in the interview process.

Interviewed Aug 2007 in Delafield, WI (took 2 days)
They when over my application to see if anything had changed and they told me thing I would be doing and then asked me hours. I wasn't sure on my hours yet for school and they wanted a final answer so I gave them a general times. When I picked my classes I put a forum in to change hours. I got it back two weeks later saying denied that they hired me to work these hours and days. And they had already scheduled two weeks of work into the school year.
