Very proactive, proficient, methodical, organised in the beginning, very quick and friendly staff, HR members vwere quick & efficient their questions were based on previous experiences,then comes in a person from the field who feels that the experience carried by me was insufficient and would not be able to meet the challenges of the job inspite of having excelled in other fields

Not much technical if you are not of he Computer Science or IT Background.
Good academics are certainly a bonus.

The interview process was in 2 rounds. The first was a business case presentation. Each group was given a topic for which they had to make a "business case for the CEO". Each person in the group was given 3-4 mins to present. Post that there was a short GD on the same (about 5mins).
The next round was an interview by a panel of around 3-4 people. General questions on what kind of job you are looking for, what is consulting etc.

The aptitude was very easy and mostly everybody cleared that. The technical interview was a bit difficult but the HR interview was a sitter.

3 rounds of Interview process. They have this online portal which is very useful since you are able to track your application.Most of the companies say that they will get back and then there is a long wait and you don't even know whether you are going to get a call back or not. Even your result, whether you are selected or rejected is unknown. Here you can keep a track of ur application. Right from your appllication selection to Offer letter download, Background Check process, everything is transparent.
The HR is very organized. Overall the recruitment and selection process is the most organized i have ever seen.

There were two rounds: one technical and one behavioral. In Technical round, i was grilled on C language. I would say do pointers well. There were lots of questions about pointers. Then there were some basic questions like what is software development process, etc.
Behavioral round was simple like why tcs, tell us something about yourself, strengths and weakness., etc.

I got a call from a TCS recruiter and we setup a screening interview for the next day.They actually called me 2 days later.
The interview was a screening call & the interviewer asked me basic techinical questions (listed below) along with details of the technology & the platform that I work on. The questions as you can see were average & can be answered based on one's work experience.
Apart from the delay in setting up the interview , this part of the process went well. I am now waiting for their follow up call on this one.
