I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ months. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (North America) in March 2014.

    Interview

The hiring process was whatever user experience group wanted it to be. The quality of talent is somewhere between the kitchen sink and the sewage system. There is no sense of ownership, responsibility or talent from the management to set their team up for success. If you can talk in circles for hours and you know the UX buzzwords without knowing their meaning, you can get a job.

    Not really.

    Solution Architect Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Dallas, TX
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience

    Application

I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (North America) (Dallas, TX) in February 2014.

    Interview

Hiring process was very slow but once they like you , things move much faster. First interview has been an HR interview. Next interview was very detailed by the Hiring Manager and technology oriented but I thoroughly enjoyed the interview. The Hiring Manager had a vision for his group. I was really moved by the strategic thinking he had and was desperate to be on his group and finally I got what I wanted.

    Easy Interview

    Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (North America) (Raleigh, NC) in February 2014.

    Interview

The interview took place on campus during an on-campus hiring event. The whole interview can be summed up to a few questions: Do you have basic programming knowledge, like the difference between list and array? Are you willing to re-allocate when company need you to? Do you have US citizenship or residency? My interview was not technical at all. Most of the time was spent on the HR person explaining me what I will expect after joining the company, with some misleading information as well. For example, when I asked about their developer positions, was told that there a many opportunities, but was only after started working I found out almost all of the work my co-workers and me get are technical support instead of any developing that includes programming.
